Joann B. Patton

Beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, Jo-ann Brenke Patton passed away Friday, April 8, 2022 at her home in Brandon. Visitation is 10am Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at Lakewood Funeral Home, followed by services at 11am in the pavilion at Lakewood Memorial Park.

Mrs. Patton was born in Memphis but spent most of her life in the Jackson area and was of the Methodist faith. She was a graduate of Central High School and attended Millsaps College.

She was a loving and devoted wife and mother who spent the early years of her married life as a homemaker taking care of her 4 children and later retired from McRaes Operations Center.

Mrs. Patton enjoyed sewing and loved spending time with family and friends. She was also a dog lover.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Phillip E. Patton; her parents, Harold and Rose Brenke; two sons, Michael S. Patton, David L. Patton; and her beloved Golden Retriever, Andy.

She leaves behind her son, Stephen L. Patton and daughter, Terri Patton Daniels, both of Brandon, grandchildren, Erica Patton Abeles of Ridgeland, Jessica Patton Blauer (Austin) of Florence, Ryane Doty (Byron) of Florence, Stacey Wilson (Bo) of Florence; great-grandchildren, Kaleb, Lily Rose, Tabor, Scarlett, Eli, Ryleigh, Presleigh, Madelin, Lydia, and Jimmy Wayne III, great-great-grandaughter, Zayzlee Rae, and faithful companion, her little dog "Mandy".
