Jacqueline (Jackie) McCoy Stuckey, of Clinton, Mississippi, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 28, 2024. Jackie was born in Belzoni, Mississippi and grew up in Cleveland Mississippi. Jackie graduated from Cleveland High School where she enjoyed playing basketball and spending time with her many cousins.
Jackie married the love of her life, Herbert (Herb) L. Stuckey, on June 5, 1960. Shortly after their marriage, they moved to Clinton Mississippi where they raised their two daughters, Grace Stuckey Weathersby, and Kay Stuckey Harrell. Jackie spent her free time, reading, fishing, working in the yard and most of all, cheering on the Mississippi State Bulldogs.
Jackie was an active member of Mount Salus Presbyterian Church and Providence Presbyterian Church, where she taught Sunday School and served on several committees. Jackie was a part time Secretary at Reformed Theological Seminary, Mississippi Power and Light (Entergy) and Deposit Guaranty (Regions) where she retired.
A visitation for Jackie will be held Thursday, May 2, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Lakewood Funeral Home, 6011 Clinton Blvd, Jackson, Mississippi 39209, followed by a funeral service at 11:30 AM.
Jackie will be laid to rest in Lakewood Memorial Park, 6000 Clinton Blvd., Jackson, Mississippi 39209.
Jackie is preceded in death by her parents, John Jackson McCoy and Cleo Cole McCoy Baggett, and sister, Nancy Ann McCoy.
She is survived by her husband, Herbert (Herb) L. Stuckey; brother, Ollis Baggett; daughters, Grace Stuckey Weathersby, Kay Stuckey Harrell (Bobby), her grandchildren Katie (Josh) Workman, Justin (Chelsea) Roebuck, Catherine (Taylor) McKee, Jake Weathersby, and Hannah Harrell. Jackie was blessed with 5 great grandchildren: Bennett McKee, Evie McKee, James McKee, Clark Roebuck, and Sledge Workman.
