Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 30 at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Chapel in Jackson with interment at Lakewood South Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 10-11 a.m.
Mr. Fuller was a native of Copiah County and longtime resident of Jackson. He was a WWII Navy veteran, serving at a submarine resupply base at the Exmouth Gulf in Western Australia. He retired from the VA Medical Center in Jackson in 1979 after 27 years of service. Mr. Fuller was a lifelong devotee of country blues guitarist and yodeler Jimmie Rodgers, performing his music for family and friends over the years and at the inaugural Delta Blues Festival. He was a member of Park Hill Baptist Church.
Mr. Fuller was preceded in death by his parents, William and Elizabeth Case Fuller, his wife of 67 years, Mildred H. Fuller, his brother, William, and sisters Mary Anderson, and Jean Nunnery.
He is survived by his sister, Roma Fay Labat of New Orleans; daughters, Teresa Wallace (William) of Como, Rita Thompson (Allen) of Brandon, and Barbara Womack (Doyle) of Spokane, WA; son, Jerry Fuller (Melzana) of Jackson; his grandsons, Bowen Wallace of Como, Trey Thompson of Brandon, William Fuller of Jackson and Mark Womack of Roseville, California; and his great-granddaughters, Phoebe Grace and Abbay McGehee Wallace.
