Ellis R. Burnham Jr.

Ellis Ray Burnham, Jr. passed away at his home on January 16, 2013 from a long illness. Ellis was the son of Dorothy Maughon Burnham and Ellis Ray Burnham. He graduated from Provine High School and attended Hinds Jr. College. Ellis never met a stranger or forgot a friend. He had a lifelong love of automobiles and drag racing. A friend said he was "rippin' and roarin' every time you saw Ellis." He was a star street racer. Hunting and Fishing ran a close second. He began his business; EB's Liftruck Service in 1983 and was self-employed till he retired. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.

He leaves behind his wife of 43 years, Pamela Harper Burnham of Florence, Sons; Ray Burnham of Pearl and Joey (Cas) Burnham of Florence, daughter Jennifer (Dewey) Vick of Harrisville, Grandchildren; Olivia Burnham, Haley Vick, Victoria Burnham and Drew Vick, Sisters; Sheila Burnham of Madison, Brenda (Rick) Hayward of New Tazewell, TN and Brother Joe Burnham of Raymond, MS.

There will be a Memorial Service for Mr. Burnham at 11:00Am on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home on High Street, with a one hour visitation before.
