His life was one of two sons, a brother, uncle, husband, and Dad. He was the youngest sibling of the four, but had one of the biggest hearts. He was ahead of his time with skills on skateboards, surfboards, and uni-cycles. Motorcycles, especially Harley’s, were his favorite choice of rides as opposed to automobiles. His long mechanical and superior Custom painting career is widely known. He loved to be outdoors; whether is was the ocean & sea, mountains, trails, hiking, or camping. He was a “free spirit”, and loved to travel. He will be missed by many.
He is preceded in death by both parents, Jan C Hylander and Sarah Hylander; siblings, Jan (Buz) Hylander, and Eula Joy Hylander.
Survivors include: sister, Joan (Jimmy) Estes; children: De Shantel Ashley, Stacy Lynn Fortenberry, Dona Marie Olson, and Nikki Skye Breshears; numerous grandchildren, Nephews, numerous cousins, and extended family.
The service will be concurrent with his mothers service at Lakewood Funeral Home in Jackson, MS, and Internment will be concurrent in adjacent Lakewood Memorial Park.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.lakewoodfuneraljackson.com for the Hylander family.
