Mom’s greatest blessing in life was her loving family. Marian was preceded in death by her Husband Gail, Parents, Siblings and is survived by her brother Walt (Barb) Ostrander. Marian was born in Jackson, MI on October 21st, 1935 to Melvin and Maxine Ostrander. She graduated from Parma High School in 1953 then attended Central Michigan University in Mt. Pleasant. Unfortunately after just one semester of studies she was called home due to her mother’s untimely death that left her to care for her younger siblings. She met her loving husband Gail in 1956 when she pulled up to “Gail’s Friendly Service” gas station and batted her baby blue eyes at him. It was love at first sight! They were married later that same year and were at each other’s side for nearly 60 years. They had six children in nine years and made it look easy raising a very loving family. In 1972 she and Gail opened Gail’s Pizza working with their children growing a very successful business. They sold Gail’s Pizza in 1979 and then went into their next venture of Real Estate. They opened Gail Reardon Realty, which they successfully ran for many years. Their youngest son Rick took ownership of the business in 2000. Mom stayed on working with Rick until December of 2014. After Dad’s passing in early February of 2016 Mom enjoyed traveling frequently to visit her family around the country. Mom was described by her family and others as the kindest, sweetest and most caring person they had ever met. She was a giver and always placed others first. Her genuine spirit and smile brightened many lives. Her positive spiritual outlook was evident to all who knew her. She taught us how to love ourselves and each other. Her love will never be forgotten. Per her wishes cremation has taken place. A celebration of Marian's life will be held on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Found Church (located at 141 E. Michigan Ave. Jackson, MI 49201). The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until time of service.
