Joseph Kartis Oliver

Joseph Kartis Oliver (Serve) was born July 1, 1967 in Senatobia, MS to Mr. Joe Willie and Dorothy Oliver. Joseph departed from this life on November 15, 2018 in Jackson, Michigan. Joseph accepted Christ at an early age. He attended Jackson Public Schools. His family moved to Michigan in 1969. Joseph was loved by many. He had a brilliant smile. He loved helping others. He also loved his bike. Joseph was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Oliver; sister, Amanda Oliver; brother, Jeffery Lamont Oliver; grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Aaron Oliver and Ms. Willie Mae Hardrick; aunt, Mrs. Fannie Mae Throgmartin; uncle, Mr. Clarence Hardrick; niece, Shakeya Flowers and nephew, Carl Reynolds, Jr. Joseph leaves to cherish his memories: his father & step-mother, Joe Willie & Bertha Oliver; seven children: Joseph Oliver, Jr. & Jeffery Oliver of Akron, OH, Shontell, DeMote, ShaqNeqa and Daeveon Tribblett all of Jackson, MI, Dorothy Oliver of Lansing, MI; one brother, Joey D. Oliver; four sisters: Patricia, Belinda, Salonda Oliver all of Jackson, MI and Kimyahtta Morris of Battle Creek, MI; three uncles: Pastor J.C. (Nora) Oliver of Albion, MI, Henry (Bessie) Hardrick of Jackson, MI and Jimmy Hardrick of Battle Creek, MI; one aunt, Pat Hardrick of Jackson, MI; five special friends: Larry Buckner, Richard Anderson, John Wilkie, Brandon Davis and Damon Seiger; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends to mourn his passing. A Celebration of Joseph's life will take place on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at the United Peoples Community Church (1500 S. Milwaukee St., Jackson, MI 49203) at 12:00 Noon. Family hour will take place at the church one hour prior to the service (11:00 am - 12:00 Noon).
