J. Robert Ford

J. Robert "Bob" Ford passed peacefully into eternity January19, 2014. He leaves behind his loving wife of 60 years, Arlene Boroo Ford; sons, Jay R. Ford, Daniel (Laura) Ford, and Andrew (Shawn) Ford; grandchildren, Nathaniel Ford, Bethany (Dale) Dixon, Victoria Wright, Benjamin and Thomas Ford; great-grandchildren, Isabella and Jenna Ford, Phelan and Irelyn Wright, and precious great-grandson, Moses Dixon; sisters, Janet (Bob) Tercala and Sally (Arnie) Proehl; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Thomas Lee, III. Bob was a great husband, father, granddad, and great-granddad to his family. He worked in the newspaper and print industry. He was a small business owner and employee of the State of Michigan. He was an active member of the Masonic Lodge. He supported and worked with Scout Troop 312. He loved to tell stories and never met a stranger. The family thanks Arbor Manor Care Center for loving Hospice support by Melissa R., Kristen (RN), and both Jennifers (RNs) - angels on earth. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 1, 2014 at 11:00 am at the First Presbyterian Church (743 W. Michigan Ave., Jackson). In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to Trinity Wesleyan Church Food Pantry (620 Robinson Road, Jackson) or the First Presbyterian Church Youth Program (743 W. Michigan Ave., Jackson).
