Of Jackson, passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2015 at the age of 86. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jamieson and son, Steven Jamieson. He is survived by his children, Paul (Ginger) Jamieson, Gail Jamieson, Jana Jamieson, Mark (Sue) Jamieson, Stella (Jim) Sirks, Andrea (Don) Heiser and Paula (Mark) Hicks, Sr.; daughter-in-law, Jen Jamieson; seven grandsons, Brad, Tavis, and Patrick Wallace, Todd Sirks, Mason Jamieson, Mark Hicks, Jr. and Matthew Hicks; special granddaughter, Maddie Buckles; great grandson, Preston Potter, sister, Shirley McFarland; godson, Matthew McQuillan; special friend Wilma Haywood as well as numerous nieces, nephews, loving family members and friends. Frank was born on May 5, 1929 in Webster Groves, MO to Frank and Pearl (Mitchell) Jamieson. He was a licensed master plumber and retired from Consumers Power as a Building Maintenance Supervisor. During his life he was an accomplished man that cared for the community and its youth. He was a Scout Master for twenty-five years; received three Wooden Badge Beads as a trainer of trainers; Silver Beaver Award, the highest award given by a local Boy Scout Council and was a member of the Eagle Scout Board of Review. Along with his wife Mary, they operated JCISD Camp McGregor for eight years. He also served on the Intermediate School Board for fourteen years; was Chairman of a committee of 100 that worked on a millage and bond issue that passed to build and operate the Jackson Area Career Center. He touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed. He and Mary were instrumental in getting the nuns of the Dormition Orthodox Monastery in Rives Junction settled on the new property by working every Saturday for more than two years. Frank got the nickname of ”guardian angel of the nuns”. They also got other people acquainted with the Monastery not only from St. Demetrius but from the Jackson community. He had a strong Faith and was a member of St. Demetrius Orthodox Church (3043 Seymour Road, Jackson, 49201), where a funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 with Father Dusan Koprivica officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation at the Church on Monday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. with a Panihida service at 7:30 p.m. He will be laid to rest next to his wife at the Holy Dormition Orthodox Monastery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made either to St. Demetrius Orthodox Church or Holy Dormition Orthodox Monastery (3389 Rives Eaton Road, Rives Junction, 49277).
