Dora May Diver

Age 87, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 23, 2018 surrounded by her family and friends. The daughter of George and Mable (Brockway) Robison, she was born and raised in Jackson. A dedicated wife, mother, daughter, sister, and grandmother, Dora was also a Kmart retiree who loved animals, enjoyed working with computers and conducting genealogical research. She is survived by her husband, Elmer, of 65 years, daughters Nancy Joyce, Crystal Gorlitz, Tracy (Bobby) Simon, son Elmer (Jeanne) Jr., brother, Richard Robison, sister, Deb Robison, ten grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. We would like to express heartfelt appreciation to the management and staff at Vista Grande Villa for the professional and affectionate care given to our mother during her stay there, and to the Great Lakes Hospice team for their warmhearted support as they cared for and guided her, and her family, through this difficult time. A celebration of Dora’s life will be held at Patience-Montgomery Funeral Home on Monday, February 26, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Mrs. Diver will be laid to rest at Roseland Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dora’s name can be made to Great Lakes Caring Hospice.
