She was born on Friday March 13, 1942 in Munith, MI., daughter of loving parents, Ashland Wireman (D) and Inez (Montgomery) Wireman (D) (Peter Paul) Truskolawski (D). Donna and her brother Narbutas “Boots” (Clara (L)) Wireman (D) were raised by their nuturing grandparents William “Paw” Montgomery (D) and Maggie “Maw” (Craft) Montgomery (D) with help from her loving aunt Alvadene (Montgomery) Russell (L). She received her education at Bunker Hill Elementary and Leslie High School and spent most of her younger years visiting family and friends with Paw and Maw, becoming an avid genealogist within the family. Donna met Herbert Stone (L) when he boarded a room at the Montgomery residence, Herbert won her love they were married on January 16, 1960 and spent 55 loving years together. She mothered Denise Lynn Stone (L) and Douglas Allen Stone (L) and enjoyed many years of love and happiness with her grandchildren, Danielle Stone Henley (L) and Robert William Brown (L). She was a member of the Trinity Pentecostal Church of Stockbridge, MI. and Faith Assembly of God of Leslie, MI. A career homemaker, she was an avid botanist, horticulturist, bird watcher, animal lover and enjoyed long walks outside. A highly intuitive woman who took the time to phone, send a letter or visit family and friends, filling their lives with a joyful smile, infectious laugh, loving heart and sometimes a gift in hand. Donna Jean (Wireman) Stone of Jackson County, age 73 crossed the line to meet the Lord on Saturday November 7, 2015 at her home after spending the previous day with her husband on his birthday. She will be adoringly remembered and loved dearly by her family, friends and those lives she touched. No memorial services are planned at this time.
