Of Jackson, passed away on December 23, 2014 at the age of 71, surrounded by his loving family. Cliff was born on July 26, 1943 to Leonard and Edith Coleman in Jackson, MI. Cliff and the love of his life, Gail (Hatler), were married for 48 years. He worked for Yardman’s, Hancocks and retiring from Simpson Industries. Cliff loved doing yard work, shopping for cars, and collecting coins; he especially enjoyed spending time with his family. Cliff was a talker and touched many lives and will be missed by all who knew him. Cliff is survived by his wife, Gail; daughters, Dawn (Paul Williams) Coleman, Shammy Avriett, Paula Coleman, and Melissa (Markus) Coleman-Dessel; grandchildren, Kendra, Amanda (Shane) Pulley, Timmy (Megan) Allen, Andrea, Trevor, Keairra, Richelle, Ceairra, Blake, and Kamdyn; seven great grandchildren; siblings, Barbara Miller, Minnie Lorencen, and Rodney Coleman; brother-in-law, Kevin (Kelly) Hatler; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Leonard P. Coleman and Peggy Sims; in-laws, George and Weda Hatler. A celebration of Cliff’s life will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at Cornerstone Christian Church (2395 W. High Street) at 1:00pm with visitation at the funeral home on Monday, December 29, 2014 from 2:00-4:00pm and 6:00-8:00pm and again at church from 12:00pm until the time of service. He will be laid to rest at Hillcrest Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the family for final expenses.
