Betty Jo Salazar

Of Jackson MI passed away with her loving family by her side on April 30, 2020 at the age of 86. Betty was born on July 16, 1933 to parents Blaine and Lexie Adkins in Virgie KY. She married Paul Salazar on oct 27, 1989 in Jackson MI. Betty was a home maker who loved raising her family and was an immaculate housekeeper. Betty was a kind person who loved music, playing guitar with her children when they were small. Betty is survived by her husband, Paul Salazar; children Sylvester (Marty) Kilgore, daughter in law, Barb Kilgore, Brenda (Howard) Flint, Nancy (Chester) Osborne, Deanna (Rich) Weiler, Donna (Joe Griehs) Kilgore and Vern Kilgore; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and siblings, Johnny (Retha) Adkins and Harold T. Adkins. She was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Michael D. Kilgore and Blaine R. Kilgore; and her brothers, Blaine Adkins, Charles Adkins and James Adkins. There will be a private entombment with family at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Because of Betty's love of children contributions can be made to The Aware Shelter in lieu of flowers.
