Betty Jane Jackson

Of Jackson, MI passed away with family at her side on May 31, 2020 at the age of 82. Betty was born on March 10, 1938 to parents Walter Jay and MaryAnn Elizabeth (Greenwood) VanEpps. She married Harvey J. Jackson on August 18, 1967 in Jackson. Betty was a homemaker who loved the church, serving as a door greeter and loved the Silver and Gold Ministry. She loved her family and was the "peanut brittle queen". Her favorite saying "Jesus loves you, keep Jesus with you and I love you, be careful and come back again in Jesus name." Betty is survived by her children Floyd W. (Hope) Lovejoy, Jr., Dow L. (Roy) Baker, Clarence J. Lovejoy, Walter J. Lovejoy, Rebecca E. Lovejoy, Maryann E. Brown, Juanita L. (Roger) Hall, and Betty J. Perrin; stepchildren Harvey Jackson, Jr., Catherine Dickerson, Deborah Hastings, and Jeffery Jackson, Sr.; several grandchildren, great grand children, two great-great grand sons and one sister Annabelle King. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Harvey J. of 47 years, daughter JoAnn Lovejoy, six sisters, and one brother. A private celebration of Betty’s life will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at Calvary Apostolic Church 260 West Prospect Street Jackson MI. Betty will be laid to rest alongside her husband at Ft. Custer National Cemetery, Augusta MI. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Apostolic Church, 260 W. Prospect St., Jackson, MI 49201.
