Funeral Service for William James Harris, 75, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 23, 2017, at the Episcopal Church of St. Simon and St. Jude in Irmo, SC. Please join the family for a reception at the church following the service. Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel is assisting the family.
Bill passed away Monday, September 18, 2017. Born in Carbondale, Illinois, he was the son of the late Kenneth and Alice Watson Harris. He proudly served in the United States Army and the Army Reserves where he retired as Lt. Col. Bill also retired from State Farm Insurance Company. He was a member of The Episcopal Church of St. Simon and St. Jude.
Surviving are his daughters, Kim Retherford, Jennifer Keilman (John Hartzell); grandchildren, Bethany Retherford, Christopher Retherford, Jack Keilman, Kate Keilman; and his best friend and life companion, Rosalind Funk. He is also survived by his sister, Elizabeth Schultz. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Judy Harris.
