A procession will start at Dunbar Dutch Fork Chapel Dunbar Funeral Home (7600 Woodrow St., Irmo, SC 29063) at 1:15 p.m., led by the Richland County Sheriff’s Department and the Patriot Guard Riders and end at the Fort Jackson National Cemetery (4170 Percival Rd, Columbia, SC 29229). There, Liederman will be interred with full military honors.

Liederman was born May 3, 1952 and passed away on March 19, 2024. Following his passing, after an extensive search and investigation by the Spartanburg County Coroner’s Office, it was discovered that he had no surviving family. Prior to his death, he had been living in a nursing facility in Spartanburg County. Lieberman served in the Air Force and was a Nuclear Weapons Specialist, prior to being honorable discharged in 1973.

“As we approach Memorial Day, we are reminded that we have a duty as a nation to make certain that our veterans are treated with dignity and respect, and to receive the honors in death that their service in life merited," said William Lynch of Dunbar Funeral Home. "We're honored to give this veteran the dignified burial he deserves for bravely serving our country.”
