A Celebration of Life of Nancy Vogt Hammett, 59, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, Irmo. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.
Nancy passed away Sunday, May 27, 2018, following a decade long battle with Alzheimer ’s disease. Born in North Attleboro, Massachusetts, she was the only child of the late Richard H. and Joan Behr Vogt. Nancy was a graduate of Chapin High School and Midlands Technical College. She worked for Mungo Homes as a home designer until her retirement. Nancy loved gardening, scrapbooking and her church family. She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Mitch Hammett; daughters, Amy Bundrick, Beth Spires (Dustin); son, Michael Proctor; grandchildren, Kinley and Baylor Spires.
