On October 2, 2019, Retired Lt. Col Lisa Faye Jackson Davis was called home to be with Our Father. Lisa was preceded in death by her parents Emma "Totsie" Jackson and Jerry Boykins, Jr. of Greenville, Mississippi. Dedicated, beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend; Lisa was a woman who fulfilled many roles for countless different people, giving each of them every part of her heart, soul, and passion.
Lisa is survived by her husband of 28 years, Gregory B. Davis of Irmo, SC; two children Brenton Davis (son) of Charleston, SC and Breyonna Davis (daughter) serving in Benin, West Africa; a dear friend and God Mother to the children, Pamela (Daniel) Lewis of Indian Head, MD; three sisters Maxine Porter, Margaret (Aaron) Smith both of Greenville, MS, and Patricia Gales of Virginia Beach, VA; one brother, Jerry (Pat) Jackson of Jackson, MS; an adopted sister Maxine (Kevin) Reed of Cincinnati, OH; five nieces; five nephews; and several great nieces and nephews. Throughout her 20 years of military service and civilian career, Lisa formed several long lasting bonds and will be greatly missed by her special friends Bernadette Wright of Florida; Tina (MIlton) Connally and Tina Clarke, both of San Antonio, TX; and an immeasurable number of friends and extended family.
A lover of all life and people, Lisa shared her nurturing spirit through her work as a nurse practitioner. Even in passing she leaves behind a profoundly tangible legacy that warms the hearts of those who were privileged to know her. She may not be present physically but her love and spirit will continue to live on, in and around, all who knew her.
