Kimberly passed away Saturday, May 9, 2020. She was born on July 20, 1986 in Columbia, to Douglas and Susan Barker. Kim was an active member of Riverland Hills Baptist Church. She loved the Lord and participated in mom’s group, and women’s bible studies at the church. She was a graduate of Ben Lippen and attended Liberty University. In 2010, she married Gary Lewis. Her greatest joys came following her marriage with the birth of her two miracle babies, Peyton (5) and Brooklyn (4). Kimberly’s love of children branched even further than her own, as she nannied numerous children in her home. Kim loved to cook and host gatherings with family and friends. Her love for the Christmas season always made the holidays especially warm and joyful. She was happiest spending time with her family, whether that was playing games, going on trips, hosting family meals, or simply snuggling up with her children.
Kimberly is survived by her parents Douglas and Susan Barker; husband, Nathaniel Gary Lewis; children, Peyton and Brooklyn Lewis; brother, Chris Barker (wife, Robyn); sister, Sarah Barker Skelley (husband, Tucker); nephews, Bryson, Hudson, Mason, Noah, Graham, Porter, Fisher; mother-in-law, Cherrylann Lewis and father-in-law, Nathaniel Gary Lewis, Sr.; sister-in-law, Chrissy Gregg (husband, Rob); and numerous aunts and uncles.
