Harold Wayne Reid, 93, of Columbia, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday October 27, 2016. Harold was born and raised in the Oklahoma panhandle. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. In 1952, he married the love of his life, Freda. He also began his 30-year career with B.F. Goodrich Tire Co. where he worked until his retirement in 1982. Mr. Reid worked with the IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program for 30 years. He was a devoted charter member of Ashland U.M.C. and enjoyed being at the Shepherd's Center. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Freda Jo Hinz, and brothers, Paul and Louis. Survivors include their son, David and wife, Janet; granddaughters, Tracy and Rachel. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel. Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 2, 2016, at Ashland U.M.C. with Rev. Tresco Shannon officiating. Burial will follow in Bush River Memorial Park.
