COLUMBIA A funeral service for Caroline Creath Morgan, 21, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 20, 2016, at Union United Methodist Church, with burial in Bush River Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 at the church prior to the service. Caroline fought a long and courageous battle with brain cancer and passed away peacefully with her family present Friday, April 15, 2016. Born in Columbia, she was the daughter of William Stuart Morgan III and Kimberly Bryant Morgan. She was a 2013 graduate of Irmo High School, working as a hostess at Carrabba’s on Columbiana Drive and attending Midlands Technical College. Caroline enjoyed photography, hiking and traveling. She was a member of Union United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, surviving are her brothers, William Stuart Morgan IV and David Walker Morgan, both of the home; paternal grandmother, Jean Yandle Morgan of Elizabethtown, NC; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. David Bryant of Hampden, ME; uncle, David Collins Morgan (Suzy) of Wake Forest, NC; aunts, Kim Pridgen (David) of Elizabethtown, NC and Lynn Hussey (Jeff) of Longmeadow, MA; cousins, Allison and Elizabeth Morgan; Collins and Morgan Pridgen; and Caitlin, Connor, Chase and Kevin Hussey. She was predeceased by her paternal grandfather, Major W.S. Morgan, Jr., USMC (Ret.). A special heartfelt thanks to Dr. Roham Moftakar and his staff at Palmetto Health Richland ICU Neurology; 11 East Medical staff; and Palmetto Health Children’s Hospital staff for the extraordinary and compassionate care they provided for Caroline and her family.
