Annie married Calvin Daniel ”C.D.” Perry on January 27, 1942, and was an Army wife and mother during WWII. Mrs. Perry worked at the Department of Mental Health until her retirement with 21 years of service. She was a homemaker who loved her husband and children, and all who came to visit. She was happiest when surrounded by family and friends. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by daughter-in-laws, Dillie W Perry and Rachel W Perry; granddaughter, Dianne P Odom (Marge); grandsons, Don M Perry (Carman), Joe D Perry Jr, and Michael A Perry; great-grandsons, Parker F Odom and Jake P Odom. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her sons, Russell M Perry and Joe Danny Perry Sr.; a daughter, Dottie D Perry. She was also predeceased by six sisters and four brothers.
The family would like to thank the wonderful nursing staff at Lexington Extended Care (Cruise Pointe) for all the love and care they provided for Annie “Dot” Perry and extend a special thanks to all the family and friends who visited her. She was a people person and loved all who visited and brightened her days.
A funeral service to celebrate the life of Annie “Dot” Perry will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 in the chapel of Dunbar Funeral Home- Dutch Fork. Family will greet visitors one hour prior to the service. A burial will follow in Bush River Memorial Gardens
