Willie Eyvonne Ray was born in Hamilton, Texas to Estalene Carter and John William Manning. Eyvonne attended school in O’Brien, Texas. She married Bobbie Royce Ray on September 16, 1958, and together they raised two sons; Billy Royce and John Michael. In her children’s years, Eyvonne stayed home and cared for them. She served as a Cub Scout Den Mother and assisted in countless school and after school activities. As a United States Air Force wife, she kept the family going strong while her husband was deployed to Vietnam. In 1978, Bobbie and Eyvonne opened a business together called Victory Dental Lab. They worked as partners in this business for 21 years. Eyvonne enjoyed traveling. Over the years she went to New York, California, Canada, Mexico, and the Bahamas. Branson was one of her favorite destinations for her and her husband. After retiring, Eyvonne acted as a caregiver for 5 years for her husband.
She is preceded in death by her parents John & Estalene Manning, and her husband Bobbie.
She is survived by sons Billy and his wife LeAnn of Wichita Falls, and John of Iowa Park, TX.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Kidney Foundation.
A visitation for Willie will be held Wednesday, February 7, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Dutton Funeral Home, 300 E Cash St, Iowa Park, Texas 76367. A chapel funeral service will occur Thursday, February 8, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Dutton Funeral Home.
