Michael A Schmidt

Michael was born to Kenneth and Evelyn Schmidt on January 9, 1958, in New Braunfels, Texas. He met his future wife Cathy at Iowa Park High School, they later married on June 28, 1999, in Fort Worth, Texas. Together they had two daughters Melanie and Elizabeth. Michael was a Railroad Conductor for the BNSF Railroad for 35 years.

Michael is survived by his wife, Cathy Schmidt; his daughter Melanie Schmidt; and his daughter Elizabeth Schmidt; his father-in-law Walter Griffin; his sister-in-law Patricia Johnston and husband Troy, his sister Kathrine Schmidt, his sister Frances Leath and husband Mike, his sister Gloria Godwin and husband Steve. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles,nieces, and nephews.

Michael was preceded in death by his mother-in-law Rosemarie Griffin and his parents Kenneth and Evelyn Schmidt; and his brother Patrick Schmidt.

A Visitation style Celebration of life will be held on Friday, June 30, 2023 at Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park, Texas from 3:00pm to 6:00pm.
