Jerry was born in Wichita Falls, TX on October 05, 1945 to Clarence and Lola Phillips. Graduating from the original WFSH in 1964 where he participated in football and baseball. GO COYOTES!!! He continued his education by attending Parrish Junior College from 1964-1966 again playing the sport of baseball. The only year the Parrish Dragons made it to the World Series Grand Junction.
On Oct 15, 2005 Jerry married Jennifer Lofton and almost 19 years of shared and cherished memories together.
Making his living in retail, he spent 23 years with JC Penny’s and was very proud to say the least. Afterwards he then spent 27 years dedicated to Family Dollar Stores and put forth the same effort.
Jerry enjoyed his Family time and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Iowa Park, TX.
Also serving on the Board of Trustees. He was a Big Fan of the Mavericks, Cowboys, Rangers and Elvis Presley. Not to mention his love for Mickey Mantle.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Lola Phillips also his son Jason Phillips.
He is survived by his loving wife Jennifer Phillips of Iowa Park, TX. Daughter Julie Comella and husband Brad Brown Of Wichita Falls, TX. Brother Jim Phillips and wife Jackie of Burkburnett, TX.
Step son Rusty Stewart and wife Jennie of Iowa Park, TX.
Step son Archie Stewart and wife Allyson of Carrollton, TX.
Grand Children,Christian Comella of Longview, TX, Melina Comella of Irving, TX, Alana Stewart of Iowa Park, Tx ; Corbin Stewart and Beckham Stewart both of Carrollton, Tx.
Great Grandson Cyrus Comella of Longview, TX.
