Ida Lee Donohoo (Richmond), born on March 13, 1939, of Iowa Park, Texas passed away peacefully on October 13, 2024, in Wichita Falls, Texas, at the age of 85. Ida was born to Sidney Richmond and Ardell Heiser on March 13, 1939 in Covington, Kentucky. She moved from Dalhart, Texas, to Iowa Park over 40 years ago.
A woman of deep faith, Ida was a dedicated member of the Kamay First Baptist Church. Ida devoted much of her life to her family as a farm wife, nurturing her children and managing her household. After her years on the farm and her kids were grown, she worked at Hudson Microfilming, where she contributed to the creation of microfilms. Ida was a skilled seamstress and quilt maker, and she had a deep affection for her dogs, which brought her much joy.
Ida is survived by her loving husband, Larry Eugene Donohoo; daughters, Tina Busby and her husband John, Veronica Harralson and her husband David; grandchildren, Wade Busby and his wife Kelli, Zane Busby and his wife Kacie; and great-grandchildren, Noah and Luke Busby. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sidney and Ardell Richmond; her son, Elvis Lee Donohoo; and her brother, Kent Richmond and Great- Granddaughter Libby Busby.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Kamay First Baptist Church, located at 7823 TX-258, Kamay, TX 76369. Dutton Funeral Home of Iowa Park, Texas, is assisting the family with arrangements.
