Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, April 9, 2012 at Life Tabernacle with Pastor Gene Holley, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Crestview Memorial Park under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home of Iowa Park, Texas.
Billie was born August 22, 1927 in Olney, Texas to Herbert and Lula Mae Bryan Goodloe. She and Emit Eugene Reeves were married September 22, 1950. She lived most of her life in Wichita Falls. She was a member of Life Tabernacle of Wichita Falls. Billie worked as a switchboard operator for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for 28 years prior to working for Wichita County Courthouse as a PBX Telephone Operator for 32 years.
Billie Reeves, affectionately known as Miss Billie by her co-workers at the courthouse and by Sis. Billie by those who went to church with her was a woman well loved and deeply respected. She was known by those closest to her as Mother or Memaw. She was a lady given to laughter and full of love. It didn’t take long before her warm affection would draw you in and cause you to love her. She had a beautiful smile and a twinkle in her eyes that reflected her joy of life. Life wasn’t always easy, but she made the best of every circumstance. She will be forever loved and missed by her many friends and close family!
Her parents, husband and a brother, Dickie Goodloe preceded her in death.
She is survived by her children, Mark Reeves, Rita Frazier and husband, Kenny and Rex Reeves all of Wichita Falls, Texas; siblings, Martha Bradford and husband, Lee of Nebraska, Peggy Brown of Paradise, Texas and Dan Goodloe and wife, Golda of Jefferson, Texas; grandchildren, Felicia, Jeannie, Ken, Rena, April, Randy and Kellie; and great grandchildren, Braydan, Kinley and Aubriegh.
Visitation will be from 3 until 5 p.m. Sunday, April 8, 2012 at Dutton Funeral Home Chapel.
