I will never forget the first time I met Paula and Donnie for the first time and it was like we new each other forever. Both Paula and Donnie always make me feel at home when we visited with them in Clearwater and when they came to our home. She was always laughing and making sure we had something to drink and eat anytime we visited with them. And as Dan and I have been together both Paula and Donnie became my Mom and Dad and that is what I call them when we talk as that is how I will always feel about them. And I will always cherish the wonderful times that we spent together. Luv and will miss U Mom/ Paula 🙏❤️

Dear Donnie and all the family,
I noticed the obituary in the Herald and wished after 43 years to offer a note of consolation to you and all of your loved ones.
I was the new minister in 1977 and presided at Minnie's and Paula's Aunt Jean's funerals.
I remember Paula and you, and Jeannette and Joe as friendly and welcoming,  despite such adverse circumstances.
Paula's photo is becoming and I must say she reminds me of her Mum.
May God hold all of you in the palm of his hand.

She was always so friendly and  happy to see me whenever out paths crossed, as I was to see her, and you. I never saw one without the other. Every year nothing would put a smile on face more than when my grandparents made the trek down to sunny Florida to visit for the winter. The excitement I had looking forward to spending my weekends with Grandpa Donnie and Grandma Paula was unmatched. Grandma Paula always knew how to put a smile on my face, from taking me to the Orange Juice factory so we can have some fresh OJ and Ice Cream (I’ll never forget her favorite Key Lime!), to the bike rides around the park, to letting me swim in the community pool, I always had a blast! I would wait all year in anticipation so she could bring some of her famous Grandma Paula cookies. Ill always remember her having her camera and making sure she took hundreds of photos every time she was here. As we get older and look back I wish we could go back and relish in those good times for 5 more minutes.  She will be missed, loved and always remembered. 
As you always said when you left “It’s been a slice kid!”

From my earliest memory...the excitement, love and enthusiasm of having my grandparents come spend time with us in Florida will forever be cherished. Grandma Paula’s humor, sarcasm and wit always drew me in closer (and surely rubbed off a bit). And, who can forget her love of her camera… never further than an arms reach away. That’s why it was especially important to me to have been able to make it to Inverness a few summers ago and not only spend some amazing time with her but get some amazing family photos at one of her favorite places… We miss you, love you and will keep you close in our hearts forever. Uncle Donnie, I remember all the good times we had when our family & myself came to visit and when Aunt Paula would come and visit us in Mississauga. The many barbecues & laughs we had and talks over the years.   She will be missed but I can guarantee she's with my Father now giving him a hard time and picking on him.

Donnie, Danny and Jason and family - I came here this morning and found a beautiful face on my screen:  one that filled me with love as if there was no other moment in time.  Paula has been like a mom to me since I moved next door at 21 - a young mom.  No matter where life took me, she was always with me.  Her lessons in life that I cherished so much, her laughter, her very many talents and watching her as a wife and mom.  My children and I were so blessed to live beside such an amazing woman.  I love you!

I was both shocked and saddened to read of Paula's passing. I offer my sympathy to all her family. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time of much sorrow. I will always remember Paula as a loving and kind neighbour. Every time when i would be strolling one of the kids up the Banks Road, Paula would take time from her busy yard work to come over to say hi, or else, she would invite us over to see her beautiful flowers, She always made the kids feel special.
