Zena Denise Williams (Wooding) was born in Dayton, Ohio on February 18th, 1957, to Betty Wooding and Richard Few. Zena graduated from Roth High School in 1975 and attend Miami Jacobs Career College shortly after. Zena was joined in marriage with Nathan D. Williams on May 31,1981. Zena moved to Indianapolis, Indiana in August 1981. Zena worked for years in the restaurant industry and was the manager of many businesses including Church’s Fried Chicken, Big Bite, Arthur Treacher’s Fish and Chips, Papa John’s, and Domino’s pizza. She left her career in the food industry to pursue a career as a tax professional with H&R Block, where she won many awards for her special skills in leadership and problem solving. Zena left H&R Block to begin her own business as a tax professional and created W&W Enterprises, Inc. where she impacted many lives with her talent. Zena had one of the most successful tax businesses in the state. Zena accepted Christ and was baptized at Rose Christian Church under the leadership of Bishop Henry and Maggie Cooper, where she was a member. Zena had a special gift for giving to others and would go above and beyond to meet their needs. Zena loved to laugh, dance, shop, and dress to impress. Zena was a fan of fine dining experiences and was everyone’s favorite personal shopper. Zena departed this life on Monday, December 5, 2022, at her home. Zena was preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents, mother and father, Betty Wooding and Richard Few, brothers, Erwin Wooding and Andre Wooding, and sister, Sharon Few. Zena leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Nathan Williams, Children, Donnie Abernathy, Christopher (Shannon) Meriwether, Joshua Williams, and Zanna Williams. Grandchildren; Christopher Meriwether Jr, Kimmeyai Meriwether, Aaron Hawthorne, Nathan Meriwether, Elijah Abernathy, and Jaiah Williams. Siblings, Dola Wooding, Benita Wooding, Theresa Few Karim, Donna Few-Murphy, Jewel Few, Anthony Wooding, Darryl Wooding, and Richard Few Jr., Uncle David (Penelope) Few, Aunt Imogene (Joe) Crowder-Branch and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, great grandchildren, and friends. Zena exuded strength and resilience as she walked through juvenile diabetes, abuse, addiction, stage three breast cancer, and a myriad of other health challenges. Through it all, Zena’s life has shown there is nothing you cannot overcome with unwavering faith in God and hope for better days. Zena has built a legacy of love that her family and all that knew her will cherish forever.
