O’Keefe Tucholski, passed away on December 12, 2024. Wally was born in Toledo, Ohio, to Walter Sr. and Rita Tucholski on June 8, 1965, and lived there until 2008. From an early age, his strong work ethic, love of golf, and cherished moments with friends—especially at the Toledo Deaf Club—shaped the vibrant, joyful person he became. Wally had a special gift for bringing laughter to any room, whether by cracking jokes or playing lighthearted pranks. His greatest joy was making others smile.
In Indianapolis, Wally found a second home and the love of his life, Dona, through a Catholic
dating app. After getting to know each other over texts, they met at a restaurant and quickly
bonded over their shared Catholic faith, a love of travel, and a passion for sports, particularly
Notre Dame and the Colts. Their marriage was filled with laughter, adventure, and devotion.
Together, they enjoyed attending football games, cheering for their teams at home, and sharing fun
moments with their beloved dog, Joey. Wally valued his work, especially for the opportunities it gave him to meet new people and provide for the life he and Dona built together. His unwavering commitment to hard work reflected his gratitude for life’s blessings and his deep love for his family.
Wally cared for and loved Dona more than anyone in the world could have, and the two became a very
special couple in their mutual support of each other. A devoted parishioner at St. Matthew’s Church, Wally’s faith guided him in all he did, shaping his kind, generous, and joyful spirit.
Wally is survived by his wife, Dona; his mother, Rita; his sister, Julie Rety; and his loyal dog,
Joey. He is preceded in death by his father, Walter Sr. Wally’s legacy of kindness, humor, and
faith will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
A funeral mass will be held at St. Matthew’s Church on December 17, 2024, at 11 AM, with
visitation, before, from 10 to 11. Walter will be laid to rest in Our Lady Of Peace Cemetery, 9001 Haverstick Rd., Indianapolis, IN.
May Wally’s memory inspire us to find joy in every day, share laughter, and hold close the people
we love.
