 Obituario de Theodore H. Labus
Theodore H. Labus 85, of Indianapolis, beloved husband and father, peacefully passed away on November 23rd after a protracted illness. Son of Stephen and Mary Labus, born in Syracuse, New York on September 14, 1928. Mr. Labus attended Christian Brothers Academy in Syracuse, NY and was in the 1st graduating class at Le Moyne College, also in Syracuse. He married Eleanor Kianka, also of Syracuse. He was employed by Anaconda Wire and Cable which moved him to Indianapolis. He was also employed by Panduit, from which he retired. He also was in the National Guard, stationed at Fort Benning, Georgia. He was very actively involved in Little League and CYO Athletics including coaching baseball, football and basketball. He was CYO Coach of the Year. He was revered by his players, many of whom have expressed gratitude over the years. He also was a football official in CYO and IHSAA. He was a past Grand Knight of Knights of Columbus 3433. He was an active member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife Eleanor, his daughter Mary (James) Teter, sons Mark (Nancy), Peter (Cathy) and Theodore (Deedy). He was “Poppy Ted” to 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased in death by his brother Stephen Labus. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, November 29 at 12 pm at St Pius X Catholic Church. Visitation will be Friday from 10 am until service time at the Church. Entombment will be immediately following at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery.
