Ruth is also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Baldwin, Sr.; son, David Earl Baldwin; and all her siblings. She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene in Indianapolis and attended First Christian Church in Peru. Ruth operated the earliest computers as a commercial computer operator for Naval Avionics in Indianapolis, where she retired. She was active in church and volunteered to assist shut-ins. She loved her family and had a deep bond with her sisters, Rachel Haworth King and Dorothy Haworth Luallen. She loved entertaining her children and their families and her church family. She was a wonderful host, and loved playing cards with her circle of friends and family. If you were lucky, beef stroganoff was on the menu. She loved to travel and take cruises and was blessed to be baptized a second time in the Jordan River by her Pastor, on a trip to Jerusalem with her church family. Ruth never spoke unkindly and always had a smile. Her grace, love, and faith have left deep impressions with her family and all those who knew her.
