68, was greeted in Heaven by his mother and dad, Marjorie and Chester Richardson, on April 16, 2014.
He was born on November 11, 1945 in Connersville, In. Roger was a graduate of New Palestine High School in 1963 and The University of Evansville in 1968.
His calling in life was public service, including 18 years as Director of Field Services for The American Cancer Society, Illinois Division. Roger was an advocate for the mentally and physically challenged and was involved in many charitable causes.
His kindness to others was endless. Throughout his life he never lost that sense of humor that was “Roger”. When he told you a story it was guaranteed to bring a smile to your face and warm your heart. His wisdom was boundless and he will truly be missed by all who knew him.
Roger is survived by his sister Rebecca (Ron) Long; brother Joseph Richardson; nephews Jason Thweatt and Samuel Richardson; and a niece Elizabeth Richardson.
No services are scheduled at present. Contributions can be made in his name to The American Cancer Society.
