Robert Franklin "Bob" Hudson, age 79, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2022. Bob was born May 29, 1942 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Dorothy Mae (Hazeldence) Hudson and Jesse Franklin Hudson. He graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1960 before attending Indiana University for 1 year then joining the Navy and serving from 1961-1965. He took some courses at San Diego Jr. College while in the Navy and later attended Mortuary College and managed the family Haag Drug Co. store before beginning his 32 year career with Ford Motor Co. Bob was a member of the Scottish Rite, Shriners, American Legion, and UAW Local 1111. He had a passion for racing and served on the crew for the Miss Madison Regatta for 13 years, and was a 3 time champion.
Bob is survived by his wife, Willadean "Dee" (Turner) Hudson; son, Rob Hudson (Norma); daughter, Julie Hensley (Chris); sister, Diane Meunier (Jim); grandchildren, Christopher Hensley, Jessica Hensley, Lauren Hudson, and Nicholas Hudson (Jenna); and great grandchildren, Ella, Connor, Alexis, Christopher "Alton", and Isabella.
Visitation for Bob will be Monday, May 23, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Little & Sons Funeral Home, 4901 E Stop Eleven Road, Indianapolis, Indiana 46237. His Funeral Service will beTuesday, May 24, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Little & Sons Funeral Home with burial to follow in Washington Park East Cemetery, Indianapolis, Indiana.
