Randy Kay Smith

Randy Kay Smith, 66, of Indianapolis died December 11, 2024, in Indianapolis, IN. Randy was born on April 23,1958 in Iowa City, IA. He was the son of (the late) Pearl McCormick and was later adopted by Maynard and Waucile Smith.

Randy dedicated 20 years of his life serving in the Navy. In 1983, newlyweds Randy and Charlene moved to the Philippines while he served in the U.S. Navy. They had two children before moving back to the states, which is where they had their third child. They moved several times before moving to Indianapolis. He loved spending time with his family and had a passion for fishing, buying and selling cars, and all things Navy. Randy enjoyed working for Hoosier Equipment Brokers for 22 years.

Randy is survived by his wife of 2 years, Sue Smith; daughter Shannon Smith; sons Shane Smith (Molleigh) and Shawn (Sara) Smith; grandchildren Nevaeh, Zaedan, Everly, Xander and Wade. Randy is preceded in death by his mother Pearl, his mom and dad Maynard and Waucile, his first wife Charlene, and several of his siblings.

The viewing will be held on December 22, 2024 at Crown Hill Funeral Home, at 12pm with services starting at 1pm. He will be buried at Crown Hill Cemetery, Indianapolis.
