 Obituario de Philip Roberts
Philip Jay Roberts, 87 years old, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully November 6, 2021. He was the son of the late Mary Wilma and Walter V. Roberts. He was preceded in death by Karen Gavic Roberts, his first loving Christian wife of 37 years, with whom he had three daughters. Philip was a Broad Ripple High School graduate then earned a BS and MS at Purdue University and was an active member in the Sigma Nu fraternity. He spent more than 25 years working for the family business, William H. Roberts & Sons, a dairy in Indianapolis. He began his career working in the plant on the ground level by cleaning machinery, processing, and packaging milk products, and eventually working his way up to the management position of Vice President. Later, he went on to work as an agent for Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company. Having had many interests, he started young by achieving Eagle Scout status. He loved fishing, boating, traveling, and capturing numerous memories via photography. Philip was an avid football fan, especially for Purdue! As a charter member of the Northside Optimist Club, Philip served as President, Vice President, and Treasurer. He was a member of the Millersville Masonic Lodge, #126 and a Murat Shriner for more than 50 years. Philip and Lynn had been members of the choir in their church, King of Glory Lutheran Church in Carmel, Indiana. Visitation will take place Saturday, November 20th 9:30am-11am, with the funeral service immediately following at 11:00 am. Private family burial will take place at Crown Hill Cemetery. Survivors include Lynn Baer Roberts, his loving Christian wife of the past 24 years; Three daughters – Linda (Roberts) Pett and her husband, Curtis, Janet Roberts-Hadley, and Donna Roberts Cunningham; Grandchildren - Kyle and Carrie Pett, Tommy Hadley, and Benjamin Cunningham; Stepsons and their wives – Steve and Donna Baer, Stan and Shannon Baer, and Mark Baer; 16 Baer grandchildren; 10 Baer great-grandchildren, Brother - David J.
