Patricia Jean Skaggs was born March 18, 1947 to the late Herman Skaggs, Sr and Louvertda Howard Skaggs, in Indianapolis, IN.
Trisha as she was lovingly called attended Indianapolis Public Schools.
Trisha professed a hope in Christ at an early age and was Baptized under the leadership of the late Raymond Hiser Pastor of New Haven Baptist Church, she attended until her health began to fail.
Patricia Skaggs was united in marriage to Leonard Brown and remained in this union over 25 years.
Trisha drove the school bus for IPS 10 years and later she was hired to drive Metro City Buses, she continued driving metro over 27 years until she retired.
Trisha was a quiet reserve person, and loved to play bingo, she also enjoyed making various types of crafts to highlight some of her craft, Easter she would make these huge Easter baskets load them in back of her SUV off she would go, when she returned home she had orders to make more Easter baskets, another craft she would make was flower arrangements, no matter what she decided to make they would turn out beautiful.
Trisha also loved to dance until her illness began to make her too weak to dance, in later years to pass time she enjoyed watching horror movies then she would sleep with the lights on throughout the house, she also had a love for children.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, daughter; Denitra Skaggs, Sisters; Josephine Skaggs, Geraldine Scott, Mildred Skaggs, Brother; Herman Skaggs, Jr., Nephews; Rodney Skaggs, Kim Eugene Scott.
Patricia Skaggs Brown transitioned from this life on December 31, 2021 at the age 74 years 9 months to be with her heavenly father.
Patricia leaves to cherish her memory, son; Darrell Skaggs, granddaughters; Denitra Skaggs, and India Smith, God daughter Kylie Davenport, Nieces; Denise Wood, and Michelle Skaggs, Nephews; Jeffery Scott and Keith Scott, a host of cousins, and friends
Service for Patricia will be held, 12:00 pm, Thursday, January 13, 2022, at Williams and Bluitt Funeral Home Peoples' Chapel, 5252 E. 38th Street, Indianapolis, Indiana, with visitation held from 10:00 am until time of service at 12:00 pm, all taken place at Williams and Bluitt Funeral Home.
Interment will follow at New Crown Cemetery, 2101 Churchman Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana.
