Nancy Marie O'Connor, 79 of Bradenton, Florida, passed away on December 14, 2024. Nancy was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on July 13, 1945. She attended Little Flower Catholic School and Scecina Memorial High School. After graduation she worked for L.S. Ayres Department Store until 1978 when she relocated her handicapped father to Bradenton and cared for him. After his death, Nancy became a registered nurse, later working at Sara Bay Country Club and IMG Academy. Nancy enjoyed spending time with her family and friends as well as tending her orchids. She loved all animals and had many special pets.
She was preceded in death by her parents Cornelius and Helen [Duennes] O'Connor and brother Sgt. David O'Connor.
She is survived by cousins Joseph Duennes, Theresa Bareither, Phyllis Collins, Janet Glendening, Suann Southwick, Annette Beesting, Pat O’Connor, Roseann {nee O’Connor}, Mary Ann Speth, Ellen White, Bobby Lyons, Tom Lyons and honorary cousins David Dinn and Beverly Mussetter.
Graveside service will be at Calvary Cemetery in Indianapolis at 10:30 p.m., on Friday, December 27, 2024 with Fr. Bob Gilday officiating.
