Mildred Walden Davis, 98, passed away on December 3, 2004. She was born in the Meshack Community of Monroe County Kentucky June 5, 1926. She was the daughter of the late Faunas Page Walden and Mary Frances "Molly" Hammer Walden. She lived in Tompkinsville Kentucky until her marriage on November 2, 1946, to Carl Davis, the son of Middleton Davis and Minnie Gossage Davis of Glasgow Kentucky. They had four children: Brenda Sue, Janice Kaye, Jeffrey Leo, and Debra Carlene.
She was preceded in death by her loving Husband Carl and her beloved Daughter Janice; great-grandson Christopher Michael Jacobs, her Parents Faunas and Molly, her siblings; Ruby Lee Mayo, Martha Susan Walden, Evie Georgia Bartley, John Isham Walden, Bertie Elsworth Walden, Cordia Lucille Beck, William Clyde Walden, Cebert Paul Walden, Kenneth Ray Walden, James Kay Walden, and Lucy Kate Walden.
She is survived by her children: Brenda (Michael) Johnson, Jeffrey (Penny) Davis, Debra Montfort, and son-in-law John Goldsby, sixteen grandchildren, twenty-nine great-grandchildren, and ten great-great-grandchildren.
Her favorite pastime was rooting for The Indiana Pacers. She loved to travel and had a wonderful sense of humor.
A public visitation for Mildred will be held Wednesday, December 11, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Little & Sons Funeral Home, 4901 E Stop Eleven Road, Indianapolis, Indiana 46237 with a funeral service to immediately follow at 3:00 PM.
Mildred will be laid to rest at New Salem Cemetery, 6429 New Salem Road, Glasgow Kentucky, 42141 at 12:00 PM (Central Standard Time) the following day, Thursday, December 12, 2024. Please note this will be 1:00 PM Eastern Standard Time for those traveling from Indiana.
