Michael Joe Lucas

Michael was a devoted grandpa, attending all of his grandchildren's activities, no matter how many that were going on or at any time. He enjoyed woodworking, was an electrician and Mason, and was an avid Indiana University basketball fan.

Surviving Michael is his son Joseph (Kathleen) Lucas, daughter Denise (Mike) Eckerty, grandchildren Tyler Lucas, 18, Colin Lucas 16, Talan Lucas 12 and Lillie Eckerty 16, Michael Eckerty 12 and Brodie Eckerty 9; father Leonard Lucas and sister Lisa (Carl) Kirk. Michael was preceded in death by his loving wife of 44 years, Judith Ellen (Zessin) Lucas, his mother Patricia and brother Steven Lucas.

A visitation to celebrate Michael's life will be held on Tuesday, January 16th at Little and Son's Funeral Home, 4901 E. Stop 11 Road in Indianapolis from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM with a funeral service starting at 1:00 PM. Burial will be at Forest Lawn cemetery in Greenwood, IN. Michael's family asks that any memorial contributions in his name be directed to the Indiana Organ Procurement Agency.
