Maurice Charles Bailey

Charles attended elementary school in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Crispus Attucks High School in Indianapolis, Indiana, graduating in 1968.

Charles accepted Christ at an early age under the leadership of Reverend Otis Gibson. He was later a member of Rose of Sharon Baptist Church and Pioneer Baptist Church.

Charles was employed at Wood Industries in Indianapolis until his retirement.

Charles loved watching sports such as; baseball, football and basketball. He was a people person and he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was a very unique person and always had a smile on his face. He will be missed but not forgotten by all who loved him.

Charles was preceded in death by his father Charles Stapleton and mother Verlie Bailey-Preston and his sister; Marsha Bailey. He leaves to cherish his memory, his sister; Donna Preston and a host of family and friends.

A visitation for Maurice will be held Saturday, June 24, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Crown Hill Funeral Home, 700 W. 38th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46208, followed by a celebration of life at 12:00 PM.
