Mrs. Mary Frances Lisenby was the daughter of Gomer and Elizabeth Lisenby was born on November 7, 1941 in Clarksville, Tennessee.
Mary attended Indianapolis Public Schools. She worked at Methodist Hospital for 10 years after that she went on to become a CNA through Westminster Nursing Home because she loved to help everyone. She worked at the Catholic Center for 15 years. Mary was married 3 times and to this union 4 children were born two preceded her in death, Mary Gladney and Robert Dickenson.
Mary joined Mt. Carmel Baptist Church and after that she joined Union Baptist. In 1979, she joined St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church where she served in many positions; Mass Choir, Sanctuary Choir, Day Mission and Night Mission and she was president of the Mother’s Board.
Mary was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and didn’t meet no strangers. She was fun to be arond. Mary loved to cook and everybody enjoyed her food. Mary loved to talk on the phone and she loved to dance.
Mary leaves to cherish her memory two sisters, Sally Hughes and Dorothy Lisenby; two daughters, Latonia Brooks, Willetta Hood (Robert); three grandchildren, Christopher Brooks, Laperria Brooks and Ilandyia Whitfield and stepson Ricky Head; three great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Erica and Elijah. Mary had two nephews, Dale Perkins and Christopher Hughes, two great nephews Robert Jones and Rylane Jones and a host of other relatives and friends.
Mary Payne, age 79, of Noblesville, Indiana passed away on Saturday, April 24, 2021. Mary was born November 7, 1941.
