Mary "Sharon" Logan

Mary Sharon (Holland) Logan passed away at home surrounded by her family on Sunday, February 12th. Sharon was born in Indianapolis, IN. She went to St. Agnes in Indianapolis, and as a freshman at St. Mary’s College, she met Pat Logan, and was swept off her feet by the dashing Notre Dame senior. They married at the Log Chapel at Notre Dame on June 13, 1957 (where her parents had been married 30 years prior). She later went on to finish her undergraduate degree (with small children in tow!) Sharon also received a master’s degree in Library Science from Butler University, and proudly carried the nickname “Marian the Librarian.” Sharon had a mischievous sense of humor and a group of loyal friends. She and Pat were part of a volleyball group for 40+ years, and shared many wonderful hours socializing with a group of 12 other couples from Immaculate Heart of Mary parish. Sharon loved to travel, exploring the world with Pat, and she spent many vacations with her close friends (nicknamed “the Pelicans” for their sojourns in Palm Beach, FL), as well as travel to see her four kids as they lived in various places in the US and Europe. She loved to play tennis and bridge, and volunteered at the Crisis Center and Fatima Retreat Center in Indianapolis as well as in Honduras medical missions with Pat and friends. Sharon loved antiques and ran estate sales with panache. Sharon was preceded in death by her brother Dr. Bill Holland, her sister Patricia Holland, her grandchild, Bradford Hussey and her son-in-law, Chris Hussey. She leaves behind her loving husband Pat of 63 years, four children: Patrick, Sheila, Kevin and Colleen, and six grandchildren: Andrew, Oscar, Sophia, Emilia, Ethan and Logan, and many dear family members and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, February 15th, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Immaculate Heart of Mary, 5692 Central Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46220. Sharon will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery in Indianapolis. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Feeney Hornak Keystone Mortuary.
