 Obituario de Mary Lou Keller
Mary Lou Keller, 91, of West Lafayette, formerly from Indianapolis, passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 in West Lafayette, Indiana. Mary Lou was born in Evansville, Indiana to Emil and Mary Griffith Wiebking on August 13, 1929. She graduated from Evansville Bosse High School and Lockyear Business College. She married George H. Keller on November 28, 1952 in Evansville, Indiana. Mary Lou was a devoted housewife, mother, and volunteer for the Girl Scouts. She held various positions within Girl Scouts from troop leader, neighborhood cookie chairman, to day camp director. She was involved in Epsilon Sigma Alpha Sorority, WIBOR (Wives of Indianapolis Board of Realtors), IAR (Indiana Associations of Realtors) and delivered meals-on-wheels with her family. Her passion for children continued later in life when she worked 20 years as an Instructional Assistant at Garden City Elementary School for Wayne Township School Corporation. Mary Lou enjoyed family gatherings, Colts football, playing cards, and traveling. She attended Grace United Methodist Church in Lafayette. Mary Lou is preceded in death by her husband George, sister Bettye Wiebking, and son-in-law’s Mike Noe and Mark Thielen. Mary Lou is survived by her daughters, Judy (Tom) Keller, Karen Thielen, Linda (Donnie) Mundy, and son Dan (Joie) Keller. Mary Lou was the cherished grandmother of Jennifer (Aaron) Dubak, Michael (Elysia) Stoops, Patrick (Savana) Thielen, Sara Thielen, Matthew (Ashley) Mundy, Ryan Mundy, Allison Keller, Megan Keller, and Mackenzie Keller. She was the great-grandmother of Marie Dubak, Brody Stoops, Jackson Stoops, Landon Mundy, and Liam Mundy. Visitation will be on Saturday, November 14, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Crown Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery in the Remembrance Chapel, 700 W. 38th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46208. The funeral will start at 1:00 p.m. followed by a gravesite burial. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, livestreaming will be available through Crown Hill Cemetery’s Facebook page. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the IU Simon Cancer Center for the Komen Tissue Bank. Please make memorial gifts payable to IU Foundation/Komen Tissue Bank.
