Karen Jean Davis

Karen Jean Davis age 76 of Indianapolis Indiana, was born as Karen Jean Chandler, and entered this life on April 26, 1947, at Kings Daughter’s Hospital in Madison, Indiana. She was a loving daughter of the late Mary Helen Chandler and George Chandler. Karen graduated from Madison Consolidated High School in May of 1966. Karen later attended nursing school and graduated from the School of Practical Nursing in Columbus, Indiana, in June 1969. Karen later got married to William Bill Davis and moved to Rushville, Indiana in 1969. While unable to spend quality time with her kids like she wanted, she stopped nursing, and landed a job at Trane Heating and Air Conditioning and worked there for 35 years and then retired in April 2008. In 2013, Karen moved to Indianapolis, Indiana to be closer to her kids and grandchildren. She also attended the Blended Church with them. Karen loved the holidays, sitting outside, watching movies, cooking, and spending time with her family. Karen departed this life to be with the Lord on October 30, 2023. Karen will be missed by her loving children, Janda Davis and William Jason Davis of Indianapolis, Indiana; Her grandchildren Janai Patterson, Curtis Patterson Jr., and Jordan Davis; Her half-brothers, Eric Cosby (Bobbi) of Pennsylvania, Perry Cosby of Madison, Indiana, Jose Galvez of Virginia; Her half-sister Vivian Cosby of Columbus, Indiana, and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Karen was preceded in death by her mother Mary Helen Chandler, her brother, Garry Richard Chandler Sr., her half-sister, Brenda Cosby, and her half-brother, Philip Cosby.
