John L. McCreary

John L. McCreary, 74, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Monday, November 6, 2023. John was born October 28, 1949 in Indianapolis, Indiana the son of the late John W. and Muriel E. McCreary. John was a field service mechanic and after his retirement he went to work at Lowe's in 2008, and was still currently working. He was a member of Center Community Church in Plainfield, was a former member of Seerley Creek Christian Church and a Marine Corp. veteran. John is survived by his wife of 52 years: Judy McCreary, children: Shanda (Wayne) Borkes, John Aaron and Matthew Patrick (Kelly) McCreary, sister: Marilyn Hamilton, grandchildren: Shelby, Katie, David, Savannah, Emma, Samuel and Nova, and great grandchildren: Chance and Evelyn. He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister: Gloria J. Kruse. A memorial service for John will be held Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Center Community Church, 5938 South County Road 700 East, Plainfield, Indiana 46168.
