Jeffrey P. Miller

Jeffrey Phillip Miller passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2024. He was 74 years old. Jeff was born in Peotone, Illinois to Ray and Velma Miller. He attended Peotone High School. He met and married Diane Lane at a young age, to this union came two sons: Kip and David Miller. Jeff started working in the grocery business where he met Kimberly Huff. They were married on July 1, 1987, and weeks later Leanne was born. Jeff and the family moved to Indiana in 1985, eventually settling in Indianapolis in 1990. He went on to become a Meat Manager with Great Scott Foods, Marsh Supermarkets, and Meijer in the grocery industry. Jeff, as we know him, grew tired of “working for the man” and went on to become his own boss. Jeff and Kim started a logistics company, Timeline Delivery, from their home delivering lost luggage from the Indianapolis Airport. Timeline Delivery was a success, and grew to need bigger office space with a growing team and fleet. Jeff’s dreams were big, and he never stopped wanting to provide for his family. Jeff and Kim moved to Mooresville after becoming empty nesters. They lived out their dream with 5 acres, and 3 horses. They were so happy; the hard work had finally paid off. Jeff and Kim continued to work after retirement, both working at Menard’s. Upon Kim’s passing in 2018, he continued working at Menard’s until his last day. Jeff will be missed by so many, he was a true good heart, with a witty and fun personality. Jeff is preceded in death by his loving wife Kimberly Miller, parents Ray and Velma Miller, and sister Clarice Fox. Jeff is survived by his daughter Leanne Hofmann (Erich), son Kip Miller (Angie), brother Delbert Miller (Bonnie), nephew Michael Fox, grandchildren Daniel Miller, Meghan Miller, Tyler Miller, and Cameron Miller, and a host of brothers and sisters in law, nieces, nephews, and many friends. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his honor to St. Jude – Children’s Research Hospital. A visitation for Jeffrey will be held Sunday, January 14, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Crown Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery, 700 W. 38th St., Indianapolis, Indiana 46208, followed by a celebration of life at 2:00 PM.
