Ida Mae O'Daniel

Ida Mae O'Daniel, age 90, of Indianapolis, Indiana, departed this life on June 20, 2023, at her home surrounded by loved ones. Ida Mae Peoples O’Daniel was born on October 2, 1932, to the union of Mr. Elyvan and Mrs. Jessie Mae (White) Peoples, in Memphis TN. Ida accepted Christ at an early age, at the Beulah Baptist Church. In the early 1940’s her family moved to Indianapolis, IN. After the move to Indianapolis, the family searched and joined the St. John’s Missionary Baptist Church. After 50 years at St. John’s, she moved her membership to Galilee Baptist Church. Her parents, husband, and son preceded her in death. She leaves to cherish her memory, sister Dorothy P. Moore; daughter, Deborah L. Gray, grandchildren, Brian A., Brittany M., and Brandon A. Gray; and a host of family and friends. Services will be held on Saturday, July 1, 2023; at Galilee Missionary Baptist Church 2624 East 25th Street Indianapolis, IN 46218. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00AM, followed by her Celebration of Life at 12:00 Noon with the interment immediately following in Crown Hill Cemetery.
