72, of Indianapolis, passed away on January 27, 2018. He was born October 2, 1945 in Owensboro, Kentucky. He served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam War. He was a metal fabricator for General Motors, retiring in 2000. He was a life time member of the American Legion. Gobel is survived by his beloved wife Betty Woodcock, children Crystal (Darius Thomas) Conley, Sherry (Mark) Darling, Charo (Joseph Clark) Woodcock, Alexandria Hudson, Leah (Jose) Navarro, Graham (Nicci) Hudson, brothers John and Paul Woodcock and Robert Goodlet, sister Carol Woodcock, 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents William Gobel and Hallie Dee Sowders Woodcock, sisters Dorothy Cooksey, Shirley Joyce Goodlet and brother Chris Woodcock. A Celebration of Gobel’s life will be Thursday, February 1 at 2 pm at Family Funeral Care with visitation from 12 pm until service time. Memorials may be made to the Dialysis Center of Indiana.
