Glenn H Booth departed this world unexpectedly on September 21, 2024 at his home. Born August 8, 1939 in Dallas, Texas to his parents Orville and Edna Booth. A graduate of South Oak Clift High School, where he proudly attended his 60th class reunion. He attended University of Texas at Arlington before going into the US Army.
Glenn is survived by his wife of 28 years, June David Booth. Also survived by his children Sherri Booth, Mikki Haeberle (Billie), Troy Booth, Tamara Mattingly (Robert), Deborah Tanner, Robert Seel and Eric Booth. Grandchildren Anthony Bonilla, Angie Randall and April Bonilla, Kristina Mattingly, Audrea Tanner, Shellie Willison, Chaeli Seel, Trent Booth, father of great grandson Aven Booth.
He was proceeded in death by his wife Emily Rita (Pat) Booth. Brother Orville Booth and sister Edna Jensen, both of Texas.
He started his career as a printing pressman at the Dallas Times Herald before relocating his family to Indianapolis to join the Indianapolis Star Newspaper where he retired after 30 years. Glenn was a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge with memberships both in Dallas and Beech Grove.
Glenn was always one to be involved, spending many years coaching little league and football in Frankfort, Indiana. A family man who found community with the Indian Creek Christian Church. A true, die hard, life long Dallas Cowboys fan, Glenn never missed a game no matter how the team was playing. A true southern gentleman, that no matter where life took him, hew as always proud to say he was a native Texan.
Cremation will be entrusted in Little and Sons Funeral Home in Indianapolis. Per the personal wishes, there will be no funeral service. Instead, just take a moment to think a good thought and put it out there in honor of Glenn.
